Camryn O’Bannon was already one of the most complete horizontal jumpers in the state entering the California Winter Outdoor Championships, but the St. John Bosco senior showcased another aspect of his skill set Saturday at Arcadia High.

O’Bannon added to his victories in the long jump and triple jump by anchoring St. John Bosco’s 800-meter sprint medley relay to a win in 1 minute, 31.71 seconds, making him the only three-event champion in the return of the event following a one-year absence.

O’Bannon soared to a 46-9 effort (14.24m) in the third round, produced a fourth-round mark of 23-7 (7.18m) in the long jump and helped the Braves hold off Cathedral (1:32.05) in the sprint medley relay.

The only meet record was produced in dominant fashion by the JSerra girls in the 4x800-meter relay, with Ashlee Gallegos, Brooke O’Brien, Anastasia Snodgrass and Georgia Jeanneret running 9:13.99 to eclipse the 2017 mark established by Great Oak by 20 seconds.

Gallegos nearly added another victory for JSerra, running 4:35.81 in the 1,500, but she was held off by La Canada sophomore Arielle McKenzie, who triumphed in 4:34.28.

Murrieta Mesa senior Cade Moran swept the weight throw 62-9.50 (19.13m) and shot put 61-9 (18.82m) titles, with Servite senior Max Thomas securing victories in the 150 meters (15.90) and 300, edging Long Beach Poly senior Jaelen Knox by a 33.52 to 33.59 margin.
